Water, Water, Water

When it comes to leading a healthy life, for me, working out has always been on the top of my list.  Exercising is my key to a happy and healthy life.  With that in mind, I also pay close attention to what I eat as well as what I drink.  So, I decided to look into what is so special about water that makes us encouraged to drink so much of it a day.

The truth is, is that our body is mostly made up of water.  The majority of us is water so it makes sense that it would be a vital part of our diet.

Water, however, has many benefits for our bodies and ones that mean we should be guzzling it everyday.

1.Kidneys.  Water helps cleanse our kidneys which helps to dispel toxins within our bodies.  And who wants extra toxins lying around?!  Not me, that’s for sure.

2. Relieves fatigue.  Have you ever felt a little tired during the day and reached for a cup of coffee or something caffeine centered?  If so, try water instead.  Drinking water helps relieve fatigue because it rehydrates your body and energizes your muscles, therefore waking you up.

3. Helps Build Muscle.  Another perk of drinking water is that it helps carry oxygen to the cells in your body, including those in your muscles.  When your muscles are hydrated and the cells that make them up are full of oxygen, your muscles can work harder and longer.

So give water a try.  It has countless other benefits including clear skin, weight loss, and regular bowel function.  Water is simply good for you, so try to drink more everyday and soon you’ll feel better all over.
